Steelers Dominate Raiders as Rookie QB Struggles Continue
In a Week 3 clash between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Pittsburgh Steelers, it was a challenging week for the Raiders right from the start. The loss of their LT Kolten Miller to injury in practice set the tone for the game, making it difficult for star running back Josh Jacobs to find running lanes.
The rookie quarterback, Will Levis, continued to struggle, adding to his abysmal season. Young quarterbacks without the necessary abilities often struggle with accuracy, and Raider Nation is growing increasingly impatient. Rumors are swirling that owner Stone Cold Steve Austin is displeased with the young quarterback’s performance and may be considering opening his wallet to accelerate Levis’ development.
On the defensive side, the Steelers had their way with the Raiders, as Las Vegas struggled to generate any pressure on Kenny Pickett. The lone bright spot on defense remained USC product Isaiah Pola-mao, who is currently tied for the league lead in interceptions with 5 for the season.
The Raiders will look to bounce back in their next matchup against the owner-less Chargers, hoping to put this tough week behind them.
